Mission:

The Haitian Women’s Collective (HWC) exists to amplify the voices of Haitian women-led organizations and shift the narrative of humanitarian assistance and development in Haiti. Through funding, capacity strengthening, and feminist movement support, HWC invests in grassroots Haitian organizations that champion gender equity, girls’ leadership, sexual and reproductive health, psychosocial healing through art, economic empowerment, and an end to gender-based violence.

HWC is the first women’s fund in the Caribbean dedicated to advancing gender justice and centering women’s rights in Haiti.

Channel Grant:

2025-2026: Channel made a grant to the Haitian Women’s Collective to support their work and especially to support the launch of the Fund for Haitian Women. Launched in Fall 2025, this is the first women’s fund in the Caribbean dedicated to relief, recovery, and long-term gender justice. Built on three years of grantmaking, community dialogue, and feasibility studies, the fund aims to center women’s leadership in crisis response and systemic change.
